A-level success for STEM subjects

All the main science, technology, engineering and maths subjects have made it into the top 10 list of A-levels taken by students in England, according to figures published by the Joint Council for Qualifications.

The data, released on A-level results day, 16 August, show increases of 3.3 per cent for maths, 1.7 per cent for biology and 2.4 per cent for chemistry, compared with 2011 figures.
