A task force to support London Metropolitan University students facing deportation after the university lost its visa-granting powers met today (31 August) to plan how to find places for students in other institutions.
The task force was set up by universities minister David Willetts and is being led by the Higher Education Funding Council for England. Other members include representatives from Universities UK, the UK Border Agency, the National Union of Students and London Met.
