UCAS review prompts call for reform

The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service has published the results of its Qualifications Information Review, following a period of consultation with a range of stakeholders including schools, students and higher education institutions.

The report’s recommendations include the development of Qualification Information Profiles, aimed at giving higher education admissions staff better information about qualifications. According to the report, QIPs would probably be available from a central database, to offer admissions staff “considerable efficiency savings”.
