Judge will review OFFA decisions that universities contest

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has appointed barrister Geraint Jones, a part-time Tax Tribunal judge, as an independent reviewer of the Office for Fair Access.

Jones could be called on to review OFFA decisions to which universities object. “He may recommend that there are grounds for the director to reconsider his decision,” BIS said in a statement on 8 January.
