UCL in talks with Olympic Park over new campus

The owners of the Olympic Park in east London are hoping to woo University College London to the site, the Financial Times reports.

The news of a potential £1-billion campus comes just two days after UCL’s talks with Newham council to build a campus on a council-owned housing estate close to the park collapsed. The FT reports that the mayor of London backs the proposal.

Duncan Innes, the director of the London Legacy Development Corporation, is quoted as saying that it is “a realistic option” for UCL to build its new campus on the park site.
