The University of Bath is to launch a research centre on networks and collective behaviour to bring together researchers from disciplines across the university in fields as diverse as genetic regulation and communication infrastructure.
The launch event, at a conference held on 12 and 13 June, features international speakers on the theory and application of network approaches in mathematics, life sciences, economics and finance.
Former government chief scientific adviser Bob May will deliver a keynote speech entitled Complexity, Uncertainty and Consequent Fragility in Financial Markets.
