Salford dismisses deputy vice-chancellor and cuts courses

The University of Salford has confirmed that it has dismissed deputy vice-chancellor Adrian Graves for gross misconduct without severance pay.

Graves’s conduct was investigated by a special committee after an alleged argument with a student.

The news comes as Salford also announced it was cutting courses in modern languages, politics and contemporary history “in response to changing demand within higher education and from employers”.
