Golden triangle dominates UK entries in world reputation rankings

London and Oxbridge dominate the UK entries in the top 100 of the world reputation rankings for universities published by Times Higher Education.

In total, 10 UK universities feature in the top 100. Of these, the University of Manchester and the University of Edinburgh are the only ones that are not part of the "golden triangle" of Oxbridge and London-based institutions.

The Universities of Oxford and Cambridge made it into the top 10, in fourth and fifth place respectively. Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University take the top three places. Imperial College London is the next UK university on the list at number 13. The London School of Economics and Political Science moved up a place to 24.
