Lancaster ends term early after flooding

Lancaster University has postponed exams, tests and coursework deadlines after power cuts caused by flooding on campus.

The university has cancelled teaching this week, bringing forward the end of term from 11 December, after a major electricity substation in the city was flooded.

The university has asked students to await confirmation from their departments about when exams, tests and coursework deadlines will be rescheduled. Postgraduate degree ceremonies are expected to go ahead this week.
