Newcastle University has announced plans to open a branch campus in London, focusing initially on business programmes for undergraduates and postgraduates.

Chris Brink, vice-chancellor at Newcastle University, said the campus, which will open in September 2015, will facilitate further work with industry. It will house a new research hub for international business management.

The building, on Middlesex Street in East London, will host 1,200 students and will have the London campuses of Coventry University and the University of East Anglia as neighbours.
