Greenwich vice-chancellor appointed chairman of Jisc

David Maguire, the vice-chancellor of the University of Greenwich, will take up the role of chairman of the UK’s higher education ICT organisation Jisc in May.

Maguire replaces Martin Hall, who has held the position since January 2014. In the time that Hall has occupied the role, Jisc has changed its funding model to that of a membership organisation.

As well as his role at Greenwich, Maguire is a member of various boards, including at the umbrella body London Higher, Health Education Kent, Surrey and Sussex, the Higher Education Policy Institute and the Universities UK treasurer’s committee.
