The University of Surrey has been named as the host of a national research hub to develop ways to measure the efficacy of domestic energy, water, environment and food-related policies in the UK.
The Centre for the Evaluation of Complexity Across the Nexus, announced on 29 January, will develop and test methods of evaluating policy interventions across the ‘nexus’ of energy, water, environment and food.
The centre will receive £2.45 million from the Economic and Social Research Council, the Natural Environment Research Council, and a number of government departments and agencies. UK-based and international investigators will be involved in the centre’s work.
