HEFCE wants evidence of learning gains

The Higher Education Funding Council for England is inviting students to take part in a study to help it understand the development of knowledge and skills during a degree course.

The National Mixed Methodology Learning Gain Project will invite 27,000 undergraduate students across 10 English universities to complete an assessment for each year of their studies. It will explore their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, their attitudes towards their study experience and their engagement with their studies.

The project will run between the 2016-17 and 2019-20 academic years.
