The University and College Union and the National Union of Students are holding a national demonstration on 19 November.
The march through central London was announced in July and is said to be a “rallying call for free, accessible and high-quality further and higher education across the UK”. It comes ahead of the autumn statement, which will be delivered by Philip Hammond, the chancellor of the exchequer, on 23 November.
The demonstration is expected to be one of the biggest in recent years. More than 2,000 people have registered to attend the event on Facebook.
