UUK to develop framework for better mental health

Vice-chancellors' group Universities UK has announced that it is developing a framework for universities aimed at improving mental health and wellbeing throughout the higher education system.

The project, launched on 2 December, aims to establish “a more robust evidence base” on mental health through a research partnership with the Institute for Public Policy Research think tank.

The programme will be led by Steve West, vice-chancellor of the University of the West of England and chairman of Universities UK’s Mental Wellbeing in Higher Education Working Group.
