More than 1,200 applicants have asked to become panel members of the Teaching Excellence Framework, the Higher Education Funding Council for England has said.
On 7 July, HEFCE published an update on its progress in developing the TEF, a proposal included in the higher education and research bill to measure teaching excellence across English universities.
The funding council said that the application process to become a panel member of the TEF had generated a very high level of interest, with more than 1,200 applications submitted, including 140 for the student panel member and assessor roles.
