The Higher Education Funding Council for England has announced a call for £220 million in funding for university research facilities.
The call is the sixth under the UK Research Partnership Investment Fund, which aims to “support collaboration and excellent research” in the UK, HEFCE said in a statement on 15 September.
Universities can apply alone or in partnership with other institutes, and can bid for between £10m and £50m. For every £1 sought from the fund, the applicant must secure £2 in additional funding from private sources such as businesses, charities and individual donors.
