Iain Martin, the vice-chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University, has become the latest university leader to quit within the past month.

Martin will leave the university to return to Australia and lead Deakin University in Melbourne, Anglia Ruskin’s chair of governors Jerome Booth confirmed. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Iain for his contributions to ARU and wish him all the best for the future,” Booth said in a statement on 21 September.

ARU deputy vice-chancellor Roderick Watkins will take over as acting vice-chancellor from 21 October.
