A working paper calls on academics, universities and funding bodies to change their ‘unsustainable’ ways

Vegan catering and PhD examinations via Skype are among the recommendations of a report looking at encouraging sustainability in UK higher education.

In their paper, Historians and Sustainability, Simon Sleight and Toby Green, historians at King’s College London, link the prevalence of global networks in academia to the sector’s ever-growing carbon footprint.
