Employers willing to talk working conditions but refuse to discuss pay as strikes end

The Universities and Colleges Employers’ Association has offered to restart discussions on working conditions with the University and College Union—but pay is off the table. 

On 5 December Ucea, which represents 147 employers, said it wanted to restart talks as there is “scope for further exploration” but only on workload, casualisation and the gender and ethnicity pay gaps.
