The Higher Education Statistics Agency’s data and analytics team is being incorporated into the higher education IT agency, Jisc, with the transfer of its head Karen Foster and her 22 staff.
Foster began her work leading Jisc’s new data analytics directorate on 17 September, in a move the agency said will “deliver intelligence for HE providers, the public sector and charities”.
Jisc said the changes follow the Bell review in 2017 which looked at ways of improving the efficiency of agencies in the sector. HESA will continue to be the designated data body in England.
