Black holes pull more Nobel Prizes to US, UK and Germany

Medals for Roger Penrose, Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez

The 2020 Nobel Prize in physics has followed the well-trodden path to institutions in the US, the UK and Germany, being shared among three researchers for their work on black holes.

Roger Penrose, of the University of Oxford in the UK, was awarded half the prize.
