More detail is needed on domestic replacement for EU structural funding, say universities and businesses
The government must provide “urgent clarity” on how it plans to deliver the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, a group of more than 70 universities and businesses has said.
In an open letter coordinated by the University Alliance group, the signatories—which include 12 universities, the Confederation of British Industry and the Institute of Economic Development—call for more transparency on how the fund will be delivered, in order to avoid vital support disappearing when existing European Union programmes end.
