Open University will validate degrees so institute can finally recruit students

A new engineering institution, much-touted by government ministers, has started to recruit its first cohort of students following a “difficult period” of delays.

The New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMiTE) opened applications to its Pioneer Cohort on 1 December and hopes to see 50 students start its three-year master’s degree programme in integrated engineering from March 2021.
