Call for organisations to administer the scheme expected in early 2021

The UK’s replacement for the European Erasmus+ student exchange programme will cost “over £100 million” and not start until September 2021, the government has said.

The Turing scheme is expected to provide funding for around 35,000 students in universities, colleges and schools to go on placements and exchanges overseas, with a special focus on students from disadvantaged backgrounds. At present, around 15,000 British students spend time abroad each year under Erasmus+.
