Former UKRI chief executive will have key role in the development of the AHSC’s strategy

Mark Walport, the former chief executive of UK Research and Innovation, has been appointed chair of the Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre’s strategic partnership board.

The university-NHS partnership aims to accelerate the translation of scientific breakthroughs into improvements in human health.
