Russell Group launches one-year experiment on research culture

      

Research-intensive universities also propose increase in quality-related funding, lengthened grant periods and academic contracts

The Russell Group of research-intensive universities has launched a toolkit for universities, funders and publishers “to test and share ideas to enhance supportive and positive research cultures” over the next year.

It has also published a report that says long-term employment and secure funding is key to building a healthy research culture. The report calls for coordinated action on these issues across the sector.
