Magdalen College president defends postgraduates’ right to decorate their common rooms as they please

Staff at a University of Oxford college have been sent “obscene and threatening messages” after students decided to take down a photograph of the Queen that had been on display in a common room.

Dinah Rose, president of Magdalen College, wrote on Twitter that staff had been targeted after members of the Middle Common Room—an organisation for postgraduates—decided they wanted a change of decor.
