‘Disaster waiting to happen’ without integrity regulator

Not having UK regulator for research integrity risks bringing entire sector into disrepute, funder warns

Without a research integrity regulator, a “disaster [is] waiting to happen” in UK academia, a funder has warned.

Simon Cohen, chief executive officer of pharmaceutical company and SME funder Innovate Pharmaceuticals, said there is a “real risk” that the research sector is brought into disrepute without a regulatory body for integrity.
