Pledge to ‘drive greater social mobility’ in higher education

Schools white paper includes proposal to tighten relationship between schools and universities

Plans to improve social mobility in higher education have been set out in a new government white paper on overhauling primary and secondary education in England.

In its Schools White Paper, published 28 March, the Department for Education promised to “drive greater social mobility in higher education” by creating closer ties between universities and schools.
