Russell Group universities narrow gender pay gap

     

Average gap is down, but several universities see increase in pay discrepancy

The average median gender pay gap for Russell Group universities in England and Wales fell by 2 percentage points between 2020 and 2021, according to an analysis by Research Professional News.

The deadline for universities to publish their gender pay gap on a government database passed on 31 March. Universities in Scotland and Northern Ireland are not required to do so.
