Ex-education secretary says higher education “conspicuous by its absence” in levelling-up white paper
Former education secretary Justine Greening has said it is a “shame” that universities did not play a more prominent role in the government’s levelling-up white paper.
Speaking at the Universities UK conference on Political Affairs in Higher Education 2022, held in London on 9 June, Greening said that she was “genuinely frustrated” when she saw the levelling-up white paper, which was published in January.
