UUKi analysis shows that international staff now hold almost a third of academic positions
There has been a 16 per cent increase in the number of international academic staff working in UK higher education institutions since 2016-17, an analysis by Universities UK International has shown.
According to International Facts and Figures 2022, UUKi’s annual snapshot of the international dimensions of UK higher education, almost a third of academic staff in the UK (32 per cent) are from overseas, with the number of international staff now standing at 71,475.
