QAA to cease being England’s designated quality body

Agency will give up its role next year in order to rejoin European accreditation register

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education has announced that it will no longer consent to be the designated quality body in England from April next year.

The DQB is the official body responsible for assessing the quality of higher education provision in English institutions on behalf of the Office for Students, a role the QAA will vacate from April 2023.
