Debate over Erasmus replacement in the House of Lords hears of concerns over exchange programme

Peers have quizzed the government over “significant disquiet” surrounding the decision to award the contract for running the Turing scheme to outsourcing firm Capita.

During a debate in the House of Lords on 27 January, crossbench peer and co-chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Modern Languages Jean Coussins said there was “significant disquiet” in higher education about the decision to give Capita responsibility for running the Turing scheme.
