Russell Group university says “significant number of exams” will also take place online this month
The University of Southampton has said that students’ concerns over in-person exams this month have been taken “very seriously”, after worries that some students would avoid taking Covid-19 tests to avoid missing assessments.
The university’s student union urged vice-chancellor Mark E. Smith to move all exams online this month, amid high case numbers of the Omicron Covid-19 variant, in letters sent on 12 and 13 January.
