Halfon hints at thaw in relations with National Union of Students

But higher education minister says union must implement recommendations in antisemitism report

The government will start working with the National Union of Students again if it implements all the recommendations in the independent report into antisemitism in full, Robert Halfon has said.

The higher education, apprenticeships and skills minister also defended the government’s increase in hardship funding and maintenance support for students during questions in the House of Commons on 16 January.
