Support for students and staff coincides with clash between ministers and UCU over union’s response
Heads of UK universities have been contacting staff and students to offer guidance and sympathy over the outbreak of violence in the Middle East.
Their actions follow letters from UK ministers and student groups urging universities to be mindful that the conflict could fuel tensions on campus.
