
Wendy Thomson says technology could free up more time for “fulfilling” work
Universities have a “pivotal” role in determining whether advancements in AI technology lead to a more equitable economy or a more divided one, the vice-chancellor of the University of London has said.
Writing in a report for the think tank Demos, Wendy Thomson urged universities not to overlook the potential benefits of AI for higher education institutions and focus only on possible doomsday scenarios.
