2023 valuation of Universities Superannuation Scheme will likely lead to improved benefits

The reinstatement of Universities Superannuation Scheme benefits will likely see both employees and employers save cash quicker with an expedited timetable for new contributions, Research Professional News understands.

A fortnight ago, University and College Union members voted to end industrial action pending a restoration of the pension scheme benefits that were cut following the 2020 valuation, with only 57 out of 19,000 of those members surveyed thinking it a good idea to keep striking.
