Higher education minister wants more progress on campus student care
The minister for higher education has said that he “will not hesitate” to ask England’s regulator to require universities to take more action to improve student mental health if the government deems that insufficient progress is being made.
Addressing a Universities UK conference in London on 21 November, Robert Halfon said students “cannot fulfil their potential, and study for a degree on which to build future success, if their wellbeing is unsupported”.
