‘Quantum shift’ needed in support for disabled students

Framework for improving student experience at university published by Disabled Students’ Commission

Universities are being urged to make a “quantum shift” in how they support disabled students, with the publication of guidance on how to meet their needs.

The Disabled Student Commitment, created by the Disabled Students’ Commission and published by Advance HE on 24 April, is designed to help universities offer “an enhanced and improved experience for disabled students” by giving them a framework by which to measure their performance.
