Brexit fuels lack of international diversity on campuses

International Higher Education Commission interim report shows increasing demand for shorter courses

Since Brexit, there has been a “significant and increasing” loss of diversity in the make-up of international students heading to the UK, the International Higher Education Commission has said.

According to the commission, which is chaired by Conservative MP and former universities minister Chris Skidmore but has members from across the political spectrum, increasing numbers of students from countries such as India has offset the declines seen among other nations.
