Committee calls for sexual harassment awareness campaign targeting male university students

The Office for Students should introduce a condition of registration that would require universities to tackle sexual harassment and sexual violence, an influential group of MPs has urged.

In a report published on 5 July, the House of Commons Women and Equalities Committee welcomed an OfS commitment to a carry out a prevalence survey of sexual harassment and sexual abuse in the university sector, and called on the regulator to ensure that it captured students’ experiences of sexual harassment both on and off campus.
