Norwich-based institution cuts headcount as it battles multimillion-pound deficit
University and College Union members at the University of East Anglia are conducting a one-day strike today in protest at job cuts.
The Norwich-based institution estimated a financial deficit of £30 million for 2023-24, which is expected to rise to £45m over the next three years. The university has begun cutting jobs as part of a plan to balance the books.
