Result gives Unite members mandate for industrial action

Employees of the University and College Union have secured a mandate to go on strike after members of the Unite union voted in favour of industrial action.

A ballot of Unite members was completed on 26 June as part of a dispute over two colleagues, working on a UCU campaign for postgraduate researchers, who have had their hours reduced by 40 per cent.
