UUK report estimates economic impact of institutions and international students is up to £130 billion
Universities contributed almost £116 billion to the UK economy in 2021-22, according to an analysis commissioned by Universities UK.
UUK, which represents UK university leaders, commissioned the London Economics consultancy to assess the economic impact of the higher education sector and found that UK universities support 768,000 jobs either directly or indirectly.
