The Campaign for Science and Engineering has reminded parliamentary candidates in the UK’s general election of the British public’s strong support for R&D. The group has written to all those standing to highlight the results of a nationwide survey, which shows that the public cares about the need to maintain a high-quality R&D base, and that this affect how people vote, Case said. “Our model predicts high levels of support for local actions related to R&D, and local R&D investment, facilities and job creation, across constituencies in England, Scotland and Wales,” Case said in a statement.
