University and College Union responds to Unite announcement
The University and College Union has said it was “stunned” to find out via social media that some of its staff plan to strike—although the union behind the plan has disputed this version of events.
On 5 August, UCU staff who are members of Unite the Union announced plans to strike from 2 September if their employer does not resolve a dispute over “workplace racism, repeated breaches of their collective agreements, and broken industrial relations”.
