More money is welcome, but big questions remain
The UK’s national research funder was celebrating this week, as the government handed out what it dubbed a “record-level £25 billion R&D budget”.
That £25bn for UK Research and Innovation over three years breaks down as £7.9bn for 2022-23, £8.4bn the following year and £8.9bn the year after that (see cover).
